Privacy policy
We collect almost nothing.
Draft for review (September 2026). The website facts are checked against the code. The promises about email retention (90 days), recordings, and reply times are proposals: the collective needs to agree to them before launch.
We're a privacy education collective. It would be embarrassing to track you, so we don't. Here is everything this site and our workshops touch, in plain words.
This website
- No trackers, no analytics, no ads, no cookies. We don't count visitors or build profiles.
- No third parties load when you visit. Fonts, scripts, and images all come from this site. News headlines are collected on our side once a day, so your browser only contacts a news site if you click a story.
- Your browser remembers four things, on your device only: the last page you viewed (
zpc-page), whether you picked the simple or full site (zpc-mode), which simple-mode checklist items you've ticked (zpc-done), and, if you use it, your family plan in the kids' device guide (kidsdev.plan). Nothing is sent to us. Clear your browser's site data to erase them. - The site is hosted on GitHub Pages. Like any web host, GitHub receives your IP address and browser details when you load a page, and may keep them in security logs. See GitHub's privacy statement. We don't get those logs.
- Links to other sites (tools, news, sources) take you off our site. Their policies apply there.
When you contact us or book
Workshop seats are saved in our own small booking system, which runs on Cloudflare. It keeps your name or handle, how to reach you, which session, in the room or online, and any access needs or note you add. Nothing else: no IP address (a scrambled code that changes daily stops spam), no tracking, no account. You get a private link to cancel; we only keep a scrambled copy of it.
Everything else (the "bring us to your city" form, kits, questions) doesn't send anything by itself. It opens your email app with a message already written. We only receive what you choose to send, and it arrives in one inbox, hello@zenxyprivacy.org. If the booking system is ever down, the booking form falls back to email too.
- What we use it for: replying, saving your seat, arranging access needs (ASL, childcare, anything else you tell us), and nothing else.
- Who sees it: the members of the collective who run workshops. We never sell, share, or rent it.
- How long we keep it: bookings are deleted automatically 90 days after the workshop. Booking emails are deleted within the same 90 days, unless you ask us to keep you posted about future sessions.
- Payment: pay-what-you-can amounts are never checked or recorded against your name.
At workshops
- Recordings: sessions may be recorded for registered participants who couldn't attend live. Recordings are shared only with people registered for that series and deleted after 90 days. You can join with your camera and name off, and small-group discussions are never recorded.
- Photos: no photos of participants without asking each person first. See our code of conduct.
- Sign-in: a first name or nickname is enough.
Your choices
Email hello@zenxyprivacy.org to see, correct, or delete anything we have about you. We'll reply within 14 days. You don't need to give a reason.
